Manufacturing in the EU: What Retailers Should Look Out For
Are you looking to offer shakers with your logo and opting for manufacturing in the EU? Then it pays to look beyond the unit price. Our products are manufactured in the EU.
Keeping an eye on ancillary costs
Alongside the goods themselves, a printed shaker also involves printing, screens and shipping. We list these items in the quote. No customs duties apply to deliveries within the EU. If your warehouse is outside the EU, clarify import and customs in advance.
Good to know: Base your calculations on the total, not just the unit price. For products available to order, the configurator on the product page shows the current prices per quantity. You can find it via our shaker overview.
Before manufacturing: sample, print preview and questions
Before your first order, a sample is worthwhile. It shows the material and workmanship, though not with your logo. Samples are charged for, and the cost is credited towards a later order.
For your logo, there is a print preview in advance. Minor adjustments such as placement and size are included. This lets you clear up questions about printing and colours before manufacturing begins.
Lead time: planning with benchmarks
Manufacturing usually takes 4–6 weeks from approval, and up to 8 weeks for custom colours. Shipping follows, usually 3–5 working days within the EU. We will let you know the expected delivery date as soon as your order has been scheduled.
Decision aid: what matters in your case
| Situation | What you should look out for |
|---|---|
| First order or new product | Order a sample, check the print preview carefully |
| Fixed date, such as a promotion | Plan backwards from the date: approval, manufacturing and shipping, plus some buffer |
| Custom colour | Possible from a product-dependent quantity; typically allow up to 8 weeks for manufacturing |
| Repeat orders | Reorder early: manufacturing usually 4–6 weeks, plus shipping |
| “Made in EU” as a selling point | Only holds up for goods that were actually manufactured in the EU |
In summary: plan around the total and the benchmarks
Short delivery routes thanks to manufacturing in Europe make planning easier, including for repeat orders. These questions help:
- What quantity do you need – and how much lead time do you have?
- Is the print preview of your logo enough for you – and do you want to check material and workmanship on a sample beforehand?
- When should the goods arrive – and does that fit with the benchmarks?
